Optimum Nutrition has been around since 1986 it is one of the oldest supplement provider in bodybuilding world. Most serious bodybuider and atheletes must be familliar with the "battle proven" 100% Whey Gold Standard the mainstay of protein powder sold by ON.
About 1 or 2 years ago they had released a better products in which they put in the "Platinum" line. Yes I'm agree Platinum line were like Elite product just as we see With Hydrowhey with 30gr of protein, more calcium, etc compared to 100% gold Standard with 24gr protein per serving. but unfortunately the cost per serving of Hydrowhey were much more expensive than Gold Standard.
The powder of Hydrowhey were more smoother and smaller than WGS when they goes into blender HydroWhey will produce less foam than WGS and also the Hydrowhey had better taste.
Now I will share my thought about the cost of both powder.
The price of WGS: $80 and Hydrowhey $92 (the price were higher in my country)
The amounts of protein you get with WGS
77 servings * 24gr protein = 1848gr
With Hydrowhey
40 servings * 30gr protein = 1200gr
Verdict
Although Hydrowhey have quite significant price and will get you less protein from what you pay for, it should be noted that the powder were "Hydrolized" to make it faster to digest it might not work for some people but for serious atheletes, people allergic to lactose and if you have money to spend then go for it.
